Jowar Idli Recipe

Making Jowar Idlis is a brilliant way to incorporate Radix Nutritive® "Ancient Grains Philosophy” into a modern, metabolic friendly breakfast.

 

By replacing traditional rice with unpolished Jowar, you create a gluten-free and low-GI idli that is perfect for weight management and sustained energy.


Procedure:

  1. Soak Urad dal for 4-5 hours

  2. Soak "Jowar Rawa" for 4-5 hours, separately

  3. Grind Urad dal to make a thick paste

  4. Drain excess water from Jowar Rawa and add it to Urad dal paste

  5. Add salt and mix the ingredients well

  6. Allow the paste to ferment overnight

  7. Grease idli plates with Cow Ghee and ladle the paste onto these plates

  8. Steam the idlis for 20 mins at medium flame

  9. Serve steaming hot Jowar Idli with Sambar and Chutney of your choice
