Creating Kodo Millet Idlis – the fermented way, is a perfect way to align with the Radix Nutritive® mission of a "Food Conscious Society."
These idlis are naturally gluten-free, and have a lower glycemic index compared to traditional rice idlis.
Procedure:
Wash and soak "Kodo Millet Rava" and Urad Dal in water for 4-5 hours (summer months), else (6 to 8 hours), separately
Grind Urad Dal smoothly and add Kodo Rawa
Mix them well and add salt to form Idli batter
Ferment the batter overnight
Pour the batter in Idli moulds and steam them for 20-30 mins
Enjoy delightful Kodo Millet Idlis with your favorite chutneys and sambar !!!
